Welcome to the New Edison Partners

Do you share our Ethos? Edison Partners re-brands: New Fund. New Logo. New Website.

New Fund. New Logo. New Website.

As we celebrate our 30th year, I am excited to unveil our new logo, announce the launch of our new website, and overall new brand. Because our partnerships with portfolio companies and investors are for the long term we wanted to convey the “Who we are” vs. the “What we do.”

A new era for Edison Partners

Over the last 12 months we closed Edison VIII, the largest fund in our history, moved into our much cooler (if I do say so myself) new office space in downtown Princeton, and we have added four extraordinary new team members. Refreshing our brand was the next logical step in our exciting evolution.

Focusing on the “Who,” not the “What”

We pride ourselves on the partnerships we have built over three decades. Our value-add platform, the Edison Edge, delivers much more than capital. From the sales, marketing and financial resources that are part of our team, which we provide to entrepreneurs throughout the life of our investment, to the Edison Director Network, which is more than 200 members strong, we put our money where our mouth is when it comes to the Who.

The Edison Ethos

One of my favorite takeaways from our CEO Summit, held at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in June, was that all leaders should have a “Leadership Philosophy.” Having a Leadership Philosophy seems so obvious now, that I ask myself, “Why hadn’t anyone told me this before?” Your Leadership Philosophy represents the behaviors to which you hold yourself accountable, and your team can count on you to display.

Having a Leadership Philosophy was a big driver in developing the Edison Ethos.  Our entire team was involved in the process which means our values and philosophy are more than pithy words or phrases for the website or posters on the office walls. In other words, we are all bought in.

While we hold each other accountable to our Ethos, we expect our portfolio company management and our investors will do the same. The Edison Ethos is six simple words that carry significant meaning. We like to say “We invest in those who share our Ethos.”
