ABOUT JOHN

John is a Senior Advisor at Edison Partners. Prior to joining Edison, he spent 16 years at Warburg Pincus where he was a Managing Director and member of the firm’s Executive Management Group. From 2013 to 2021, John served as the firm’s Head of Fundraising and Investor Relations, where he led a global team focused on sourcing, servicing and maintaining relationships with a wide range of institutional investors. Prior to Warburg Pincus, he was a Managing Director and Global Head of Marketing for Goldman Sachs’ Private Equity Fund of Funds business.

Previously, John served as Vice President and Chief of Staff to Goldman Sachs’ President and Co-Chief Operating Officer. He has served as a Foreign Service Officer in the U.S. Department of State with postings in Washington, D.C.; Mexico City, Mexico; Managua, Nicaragua; and Amsterdam, The Netherlands. John received a BA from Vanderbilt University and has done graduate work in International Relations at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
