Jay advises Edison portfolio companies on best practices of scaling from a product development, operational efficiency and organizational leadership perspective across Edison’s portfolio of Enterprise Solutions and Fintech companies. He brings over 15 years of operational leadership experience specializing in SaaS, product management, big data and machine learning.
Most recently, Jay was an early employee and Global Head of Product and Operations at Dataminr leading all product and operational activities helping scale the company from 20 employees to over 200 globally across four new verticals and five new product lines resulting in building one of New York’s preeminent unicorn companies. Prior to this, he was an early employee and Vice-President at Capital IQ, helping grow the company over eight years through its acquisition by Standard & Poor’s by leading strategic and operational initiatives including product management, strategic partnership development and building an industry pioneering professional services division. Jay began his career in investment banking at Bear, Stearns & Co. in their Media & Entertainment group.
Jay is also the founder of The Flight Group, an incubation and investment platform for consumer-oriented early stage technology companies.
