Edison Ventures Promotes Ryan Ziegler to Partner

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ, April 30, 2013 – The General Partners of Edison Ventures are very pleased to announce that Ryan Zieglerhas been promoted to Partner. Ryan leads the Interactive Marketing and Digital Media investment practice. This promotion affirms Ryan’s success as a venture capitalist and hands on partner to portfolio company executives.

Ryan joined Edison in 2003 as a Business Development Associate. Ryan led the expansion of Edison’s deal flow and referral network. He was promoted to Investment Associate in 2005. He was elevated to Vice President in 2007 and then promoted to Principal in 2009. 

Ryan targets advertising and marketing technology, data services, interactive media, mobile and social investments within the Interactive Marketing and eCommerce industry segment. This segment is Edison’s most active for new investments over the last several years. In addition, Ryan helped lead Edison’s entry into the New York metropolitan area, uncovering emerging growth companies seeking their first institutional round.

Ryan has championed six investments while sourcing and helping lead twelve additional investments. He has served as a Board member on fourteen portfolio companies with Edison and is presently a board member of Arkadium, Lifebooker, Magnetic, MediaBrix, NetProspex and Operative (Observer).

Ryan is active in numerous venture, entrepreneurial, and technology organizations. He is co-chair of the selection committee for the NYVCA Ingenuity Conference and on the steering committee for the NYC Venture Connection (NYCVC). Prior to his decade of experience in the venture industry, Ryan worked in financial technology for SEI (Nasdaq: SEIC) within the Associates Program.
